Annual Fund and Deferred Gifts

The Values & Vision campaign is comprehensive in two important ways. First, it seeks to strengthen virtually every facet of Alvernia by improving programs and facilities as defined in its strategic and master plans. Second, the campaign seeks to help Alvernia meet its immediate needs through special campaign gifts and ongoing support of the annual fund and to secure its future through deferred gifts that build our endowment.

The Annual Fund is an extremely important source of current support for student financial aid, competitive faculty salaries, technology upgrades, and other pressing needs. Gifts to the Annual Fund will be counted toward the campaign's $27 million goal. Expanded annual support is critical to supplement special campaign gifts in support of capital projects, improved academic programs, or other initiatives. In addition, deferred gifts—those pledged today through wills and retirement plans—ensure that resources will be available years from now to sustain and advance Alvernia’s mission.
